It was produced in a limited edition of just 500 examples and was first presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2008.  The 8C Spider is equipped with the same 4.7-liter V8 engine as the 8C Competizione, developing 450 horsepower and capable of reaching a top speed of 290 km/h. The car has an electric canvas top that folds in just 20 seconds.  Like the 8C Competizione, the 8C Spider is a stylish and aggressive car with a distinctive Italian design. It is considered one of the most exclusive and desirable convertibles ever produced by Alfa Romeo.
